We’re not kidding when we say Saturday started off with some gasps and squeals and we’re STILL having those reactions while picking these photos!! We walked into the Poinsett Club to start the day and saw the adorable olive green sofas and patio chairs and you definitely could have heard an audible gasp, haha! And with a statement bar, Stradley Davidson linens that complimented the color palette perfectly, gorgeous florals by Statice, and a flawless execution of the whole design by Ashleigh and her team, we were in photographer heaven! The chairs and napkins from Professional Party Rentals hadn’t made their debut until Whitney and Trent’s wedding and we are OBSESSED!
Whitney’s classic dress with a modern touch of texture was perfectly complimented by her chic updo and the luscious florals from Statice that had just a hint of fall in them! I mean, doesn’t Whitney just look stunning?? She also had a whole box of details ready to go (immediate best-bride points from us! ;)) including her earrings from Trent, Jimmy Choo shoes, stunning invitation layout from Redbud Lane, a beautiful borrowed bracelet from her mother, and mauve wax seals to play with! And can we all agree that their table linen worked PERFECTLY as a backdrop?? Future brides, get those elevated linens and save one for us! 😉 You won’t regret it!
Whitney & Trent shared a first look and we smiled so big looking back at these photos at what a sweet, sweet moment it was! Moments like this mean our cameras are clicking away and we sometimes don’t realize just exactly what we captured until later. So looking back at Trent’s thrilled reaction to his bride, his shock that her dress had pockets, and their shared high-five to avoid a kiss before the ceremony had us grinning from ear to ear! Their first look also allowed us to do portraits beforehand and have some fun getting creative afterwards! Even if we did have to scale a mountain and work against some insane wind gusts!! Romantic, right? 😉 No, really!
We knew as we were fighting the wind that we’d love the candid movement of Whitney’s veil and dress blowing, and we DO! Sometimes in the moments of chaos when all you can do is stand there, laugh, and roll with whatever is being thrown at you, the best images happen!! Whitney and Trent handled it with grace and we love how these images turned out at the top of Glassy Mountain Chapel!
We had such a fun day documenting all the special details, and all the special moments! I mean, each moment with Whitney’s grandparents was precious and we’re pretty sure this post could have been 99% about them if we wanted it to!! What a sweet group of people! Mr. and Mrs. Long, we’re honored that we got to be your photographers!! We LOVED every second of it!
