Agapae Oaks Wedding in Beaufort, SC

Nikki & Alec!! Gosh, we’ve been waiting for this day to roll around and somehow it snuck up on us and went by WAY too fast! Nikki & Alec are the calmest, kindest souls who immediately make you feel welcomed no matter how long you’ve known them! They are the most selfless people you’ll meet and their focus was purely focused on the important aspects of the day and the small things didn’t faze them.

Weddings at Agapae Oaks in Beaufort, SC are always a vibe and with Nikki’s eye for detail there was no lack of sentiment and thought put into the full layout. The tabletops were hand-constructed by Alec himself using repurposed boards from the house they are renovating…I mean, how cool?? It truly was a blend of their talents as the design came together! A sailcloth tent, an eclectic color palette, and plenty of open space to let our creativity flow (with a Spanish moss bonus!) made our hearts so happy. Y’all know we’re all for some mismatched bridesmaid dresses, and Nikki’s maids did it flawlessly!!

The suggested dress code to their guests was to “try and out-dress the bride and groom!” Which obviously wasn’t possible with Alec’s sharp white coat, and Nikki’s stunning appliqué dress, but we did see a LOT of fun outfits and had a blast photographing them!! We loved all the frills and bright colors!

Nikki and Alec’s interactions flow so naturally, and the way they look at each other, laugh together, and love each other wholeheartedly is flawless. Their love for each other is just as intentional as their love for everyone around them. They personally introduced each member of their wedding party and hearing a little bit about each person was SO special. Plus, the bride and groom got a moment on the stage! 😉 Then, they pulled out the cowboy hats (which made our country girl hearts happy), Alec showed off his cowboy boots, and they partied!! What a blast!! They ended the night dancing their hearts out to “Life is a Highway” which their band learned ON the way to the wedding on their drive. What?? That talent always amazes us!

Mr. & Mrs. Miller, we are obsessed with y’all!! We’re overjoyed that we got to photograph your wedding day (and y’all set a new largest blog post record!) ;))
