Jade & Brett’s downtown Charleston engagement session encompassed all the elements of an iconic Charleston session — the cobblestones of Chalmers Street, a pop of pink from the Mills House, & the bright sunshine of Broad Street. Add in a happy couple who isn’t afraid to have a little fun and also knows how to put together a stunning outfit pair, & you have the perfect session! Jade & Brett braved a HOT morning in downtown Charleston and were open for all the ideas and epic photos at our favorite Charleston locations! We started their session at Hampton Park (which is the absolute best spot for Spanish moss and the most gorgeous greenery!) before making our way downtown. Downtown Charleston is a place we shoot at over and over again and never get tired of… The tried-and-true spots are just as charming as ever, however we are constantly stumbling upon new hidden gems as well. While on Broad Street, we found some angles of the city we had never seen before and were thrilled to incorporate them into this session.

We find it so satisfying when the colors of a session follow a cohesive color palette…From the outfits to the backdrops, Jade & Brett’s gallery of images is a perfect mix of pastel hues. Pops of pink and blue made an appearance throughout their photos from the buildings we chose to shoot at, which truly made their neutral outfit choices shine! Also, detail photos are always a shot we love to capture and we were SO excited to see Jade’s pearl gloves & Brett’s watch at the beginning of the session because we knew those pieces were going to make it in a lot of photos. Don’t underestimate the power of an accessory or two!
