Alexandra & Weston’s downtown Greenville wedding at the AC Hotel was exquisite! When we say we were in the heart of downtown Greenville for this wedding, we mean it! And on one of the busiest weekends of the year! We people-watched from a few stories up and watched the bustle of events all day long. And yes, we did run into the street with crowds of pedestrians for a photo with the bride and groom because why not?? Alexandra chose to embrace that their wedding day was going to have a lot of other people around because of the festival, and in our opinion, that mindset was everything because there was no stress on trying to pretend there weren’t crowds everywhere…That was the story of their day but it didn’t take away from how special it was celebrating these two!
We had an absolute blast photographing a gorgeous invitation suite and details that Alexandra had for us. Don’t get us started on how much we love a fun background for flat lays…y’all better get your linens ready, hehe!! Then we photographed Alexandra and her girls having a dance party in their PJs to “Love Story” by Taylor Swift and we enjoyed every moment of their enthusiasm! From there we witnessed three special first looks, and documented portraits at the AC Hotel!! We’ve been talking about this day and the logistics of shooting on Fall for Greenville weekend for a while, but we can now say we conquered it and it went so smoothly!! 😉 Thank goodness for a quieter space that we had in the Camperdown Plaza that complemented their modern wedding day perfectly!
We drove from the excitement of downtown to their peaceful, mountaintop ceremony and it was just what we needed! It was chic, it was calm, and it was breath-taking as far as views go! We’ve been blessed with not one, but two gorgeous, clear days at Glassy Mountain Chapel two weeks in a row!! Statice’s monochromatic flower baskets that adorned the front of the chapel were everything we didn’t know we had dreamed of! All the vibrant color palettes lately have completely captured our hearts and we’re just *really* hoping they’re here to stay. And just wait until you see their jaw-dropping florals in the reception space of the AC Hotel! Multiple luscious, cascading floral designs affixed to the AC Hotel architecture were the statement of the evening! From the blue patterned linens and romantic taper candles to the array of pink and purple flowers atop the tables and climbing up the walls, we were in AWE! In fact, I think everyone was!!
Like their friends and family all mentioned during their toasts, it’s impossible to not have a good time when you’re with these two!! With Alexandra’s calm nature, Weston’s humor, and their combined joy, we always have a great time!! Weston never fails to make Alexandra laugh and the photos that result from it are always the best! We’ve so enjoyed getting to know them and it’s a strange feeling to no longer be counting down the days to October 14th! However, we had 6,000 images to sort through and hundreds of favorites to share in the future, so we can confidently say that this day was a really, really special one and we’ll all be reminiscing on it!
