This Gadsden House wedding day was highly anticipated by a LOT of people!! By our bride and groom, who lived in Charleston for a year during Cassidy’s position as a travel nurse and finally got to come back for their destination wedding, by their friends and family who got to be immersed in the Charleston life for the weekend, and by US, obviously! Because we’ve been obsessing over this venue and Cassidy and Chris for a entire year! 😉 They reached out a year ago today, so how fun is that?? And on that anniversary, we get to share their WEDDING photos with you!!
Cassidy and Chris told us the whole day how blessed they were to have us there, which made our hearts melt, and honestly we felt EVEN more blessed to have them as our bride and groom! They were SO trusting, so appreciative, and so much FUN! We love a couple that’s full of energy and enjoys taking photos as much as we do. And Cassidy and Chris could totally be models, don’t y’all think??
When you pick a Charleston venue because it’s outdoors, there’s obviously some concerns when it comes to the weather! Friday’s weather brought some cloudy skies and eventually rain, but these two decided early on that the weather wasn’t going to stop them from having the best day ever! We were soooo thankful for the Gadsden House’s wonderful porches and bright inside spaces! And you’d never know there were tents providing cover outdoors in half these photos, right?? 😉 A rain plan is not a problem around here! The Charleston charm lives on! Cassidy told us multiple times throughout the day that she wasn’t going to let the rain stop her from having the Charleston portraits she had envisioned…You’ll see a couple portraits below where it was definitely raining, but these two embraced it and now they have epic photos on the cobblestone streets of Charleston!
Y’all, we’ve said it before and we’ll say it again but we love a venue with porches and multiple stories!! We THRIVE in these situations! So yes, you’ll see all the different angles, all the window reflections, and all the staircases put to use! 😉
Cassidy and Chris read personal vows to each other during the ceremony which resulted in a teary-eyed group!! It was SO sweet and well-written!! Even with being distracted behind our cameras getting all the angles, we picked up on how heartfelt it was! These two are truly amazing inside and out! We loved every second of this modern, chic, downtown day with an awesome group of people! You know you have a great bride and groom when their friends are also a blast!! What an honor that we got to be a part of it! We love y’all, Mr. & Mrs. Faria! (we hope you take the southern accents back to NJ with you! ;))
