What do you do when your trip to your favorite city is unknowingly planned when all the restaurants are closed and all activities are canceled?? You thank whoever created Door Dash, head to the beach, and visit Magnolia Plantation!
Our family has had a trip to the coast planned for a couple of months and we decided to still take a trip despite the current state of the country. Yes, we washed our hands. No, we didn’t get close to any other humans. Yes, we lysoled phones and steering wheels and credit cards and door handles. We spent time outside and soaked up the GLORIOUS sunshine!!
On our first evening in Charleston, we went to the beach and while *most* of us stayed dry, John fully submerged himself. Getting the full experience, right? We also did an uncountable amount of laps around the neighborhood in the golf cart…pretty sure all our neighbors for the weekend recognized us pretty quickly haha!
Day two we dragged the rest of the fam with us to Downtown Charleston, which was short-lived but entirely worth it. Even with the mid-day sun 😉 We also snuck into an open ice cream shop and barely dared to breathe, but got our ice cream and scooted out LOL.
Day three and we hit up the streets for a run. I’ll take those views any day. We deemed the pool “ice bath worthy,” and made a smoothie, because, when are we not making smoothies…Then, we visited the beautiful Magnolia Plantation. Pictures capture a lot, but y’all gotta go here to see for yourself how gorgeous the landscape is! The azaleas were in full bloom and the pops of pink just MADE IT!!
Enjoy the pics!
