A few months ago we had the privilege of working alongside Alexandra Madison Weddings to photograph their Fall styled shoot which took place at Separk Mansion in Charlotte, NC. With the collaboration of so many talented Charlotte wedding vendors, the shoot went seamlessly and we were able to capture so many aspects of a real wedding day, along with multiple unique elements added in!
The vision for this shoot was “Wildflower Wonder” which included a vibrant color palette, along with a wide variety of textures & patterns. Here’s a couple things we LOVED and that we would be very excited to see happen at a real wedding!
First of all, the cake and pastries were definitely highlights! The cake matched the theme to perfection, as it had actual wildflowers pressed to it. Also, for anyone considering a brunch-style wedding, pastries and a coffee bar would be a must. And if you want pastries, hire Sunflower Baking! We can say with confidence (& first hand experience!) that they taste AMAZING!
Another favorite element were the dresses…we were big fans of the square neck and flutter sleeve style of the bride’s dress! Mixed bridesmaids dresses is another trend we’re loving, especially when they’re satin!
Finally, make sure you take a look at the acrylic place cards on the place settings. Another way to incorporate your theme in a personal way (once again, the pressed wildflowers were perfect for this!).
