Lacey & Christian are married and we are so excited to share these photos!! This bridal session at the Oldfield River Club in Bluffton, SC had some unexpected weather challenges, but Lacey stayed totally calm the entire time and we made the most of it! Would you believe us if we told you it was absolutely POURING rain during this session?? Thank goodness for Oldfield’s amazing back porch which saved the day! Believe it or not, we took 90% of the photos during Lacey’s session outside and while Laura & I may have been a bit damp at the end, Lacey stayed perfectly dry and we ended up with so many favorite photos.

Right when we arrived at Oldfield, we saw storms clouds in the distance and we were hopeful the rain would hold off until we had taken a few photos outside. Unfortunately, the radar proved to not be very accurate, and the minute we stepped outside the wind started whipping and we starting feeling raindrops. We quickly took cover under the porch just as the storm blew in… Even though we didn’t get to take photos out under the Spanish moss trees (which we made happen on their wedding day because they had the most perfect weather!!) we were really loving the way the green shutters of the back porch complemented the flowers and made the detail of Lacey’s dress pop.
