Eden & Chapell chose the beautiful Old Wide Awake Plantation, located just outside of Charleston, SC as the venue for their special day. The elegant staircase, wide porches, & charming tree line are just a few elements that make this Lowcountry venue a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
The day began with an abundance of blue & green details, complete with a custom invitation suite & watercolor Save the Date created by the bride’s sister.
Eden chose for her bridesmaids to wear a variety of blue & floral dresses, which set the stage for a day full of soft blue hues.
As a fun and personal flare, Eden chose to wear a custom shawl and train by Kira Elizabeth Design. Her accessories also included Kate Spade heels & Brackish earrings to match her groom’s bowtie
As the guys prepped for the day downstairs, the girls did their finishing touches on the second story and made use of the expansive porches for various photo opportunities.
The excitement was high as Eden & Chapell were pronounced Mr. & Mrs. & were greeted by ecstatic family & friends as they enthusiastically showed off their rings.
The quiet, post-ceremony moments are always our favorite to document.
The guest fashion was complete with an array of vibrant spring dresses. This made for an eye-catching scene as the guests soaked in cocktail hour on the lawn with a beautiful view of Old Wide Awake as a backdrop!
Signature cocktails were ready to serve as guests exited the ceremony space and the bride & groom observed cocktail hour from a birds-eye view.
Staying true to his southern roots, Chapell wore his Tecovas on his wedding day and they remained a fashion statement throughout the night.
Many years in the making, Eden surprised Chapell with all the letters she had written to her future husband since middle school.
A family-oriented day was of utmost important to Eden & Chapell, & therefore documenting sweet moments with family was high on our priority list.
As a personalized favor for their guests, the bride & groom hired Jackie with Nichole Schmitz Studio to paint custom watercolor portraits for guests throughout the night.
No wedding reception is complete without a dance-floor prop, and we’re convinced the heart glasses brought out everyone’s best dance moves.
