Lauryn & Clay are probably the classiest couple you’ve seen all year and the Poinsett Club was the perfect venue for their elegant wedding day!
Lauryn’s details all came together beautifully with her fun vintage stamps, and pastel colors!! There were a few hints of blue throughout the day with Lauryn’s shoes by Something Bleu, and her adorable earrings, so OBVIOUSLY we were ecstatic. And since pink is our second favorite color, we were basically squealing over this bridal detail situation! And can y’all even handle Lauryn’s dress?? We usually try to guess our brides’ dresses before we arrive on wedding days just for fun…sometimes we’re spot on, sometimes not so much. But when we discussed Lauryn’s, we immediately agreed that it HAD to be satin, fitted, and strapless was definitely in the running. Well, we weren’t wrong!! 😉 and it was PERFECT for her!! You can just look at that dress and think, “that’s a Lauryn dress!”
The amazing thing about the Poinsett Club is you can walk right out the front doors and you’re in the perfect photo spot with incredible light. A convenient location is the best recipe for a smooth timeline! AND it has the most beautiful room for getting ready photos and a spacious ballroom for a grand party. We’re fans! We also mixed up their first look so it could be less posed, and we loved every second of it. Lauryn mentioned that they would be fine veering from the traditional first look set up, and said to do whatever we wanted! We didn’t have to be told twice!! We’re all for making any part of the day less about the pose and more about the moment!! Lauryn waited out front of the Poinsett Club as her groom walked out the side door and up the pathway to his beautiful bride.
Clay and Lauryn are naturally interactive and fun people so they’re a breeze to have in front of the camera! And y’all definitely won’t want to miss the iconic photo that happened 100% naturally of Clay admiring his bride from a distance! You’ll know what we are talking about when you see it! After portraits on the front steps, we headed downtown for their ceremony at First Presbyterian church. The JOY, y’all! It was so fun to capture!!
The evening went off with a bang when their band did a special Taylor Swift montage with Lauryn on stage with them as the lead singer!! It was soooo much fun seeing Lauryn live her best life and watch all the talent from the band!! We had the best time with Lauryn and Clay and probably won’t stop talking about their day ever!
