Claire & Grant’s coastal engagement session in Charleston was made even more magical with film! Even those these two had a full gallery of beautiful digital images, we keep coming back to the film scans that resulted from their session. The tones and vibrancy of the colors bring us right back to how this morning in the Lowcountry felt every time we look at them. For that reason, we’re making this a “film-only” montage in order to highlight our favorite images!

After capturing some sophisticated photos in the bustling downtown Charleston, we kicked off our shoes at the beach and embraced the open space. Beach locations are the perfect place document carefree images and we love when our couples settle on a coastal scene as the last hurrah of their session. These two were walking, spinning, running…you name it! All in the favor of a good, candid photo, of course.

Even though we had the privilege of photographing Claire & Grant’s engagement session in Charleston, their wedding is taking place in our hometown and we are equally as excited to document it in the Upstate of SC (p.s. you will be seeing film photos from their wedding day as well!).
