It’s always such a joyful day when wedding day FINALLY rolls around, but you also know it’s going to fly by so quickly! It seems like we’ve been planning this day with Ashley for SO long and it went so smoothly! We loved getting to know Ashley and Caleb at their engagement session and had an amazing time with Ashley at her bridals (which y’all will be seeing soon!!).
Ashley and Caleb chose not to share a first look, and saved the grand entrance for the aisle. However, they did pass notes to each other before the ceremony. This moment was one of our favorites of the day and so very sweet. Both Ashley and Caleb were in tears after reading each others letters and we were fighting back tears ourselves!! Caleb also gifted Ashley a special diamond heirloom that had been re-designed into a stunning necklace. Although Ashley hadn’t planned on wearing any jewelry besides her earrings, this sentimental piece was the perfect touch.
You can guess that when it was time for their ceremony, the anticipation for these two to see each other was high!! And just when we thought Ashley was about to walk down the aisle, the flower girl and ring bearer made their appearance which was an adorable surprise 😉 When the doors finally opened and Ashley and her dad walked down the aisle, neither of them could hold back the happy tears.
To start the ceremony, the entire congregation stood and sang “It Is Well,” and we absolutely LOVED it. Not only was this song calming after an emotional few minutes, but it immediately centered the ceremony back to the true purpose of bringing glory to God in their future marriage.
After their ceremony, we knew we had to keep the timeline moving to accomplish all the photos we needed in an hour. Family formals went quickly and then we headed to Windy Hill for bridal party photos and bride and groom portraits! The weather, the light, and the location were absolutely beautiful!! We could not have asked for a better May wedding day! We split up to do bridesmaids and groomsmen photos and had them all done in 7 minutes FLAT. We’re speedy y’all!! Which meant we had plenty of time for Ashley and Caleb’s portraits (yay!). We would shoot in open fields literally any day because of the amazing light, simplicity of the background, and focus it puts on the adorable couple!
Ashley and Caleb took some time out of their evening to greet their guests and talk to all their friends who came and celebrated them. Then they partied!! These two didn’t leave each other’s side the whole night and all their friends danced with them! It was an amazing day and we’re incredibly happy for these two who deserved every second of this celebration!! We love y’all!
