We were in downtown Spartanburg a few weeks ago when Laura and I noticed that the cherry trees were ALL blooming! It was so gorgeous and we knew we had to get a cute couple down there to photograph. Also PSA: if you’re local and haven’t been to Sparkle City before you totally need to go… after we’re out of quarantine, of course. Go get yourself some green tea ice cream from Hub City Scoops while you’re there!!
We asked Amber if she and Alex would be willing to be our models for the shoot and they said yes!! Amber is a blogger local to Spartanburg and if y’all don’t follow her yet you definitely should! You can follow her here! These two went to high school together but didn’t start dating until they ended up at college together. And then in January of this year, they got engaged!! We were so excited to get to meet them especially after following Amber for the past few months. It’s always fun when you get to meet your Instagram friends in real life!
When we made it back downtown for their shoot it had been a few days and most of the blooms had disappeared, but I was just happy that we found a few patches of pretty trees! And even though half the blooms had blown off the day before lol, we all still had a blast and attempted to make the most of what we had, which included shaking the trees to try to get the remaining petals to fall… If you look reallyyy close you can see them in a few pictures!
