Abbey & Jason’s Biltmore Estate wedding day brought to life their vision for an intimate, destination wedding. These two wanted a location different from their home states and one that coincided with their love of simplistic elegance and the outdoors. They certainly found the right place, tucked in the North Carolina mountains, with the gardens and rolling hills surrounding the Biltmore Estate!
We started the day at The Inn at Biltmore Estate, with the sun shining! Abbey, her mother, and Jason’s mother were all getting ready in one of the Inn’s quaint rooms, with beautiful views of the Blue Ridge. We photographed their details and loved the unique texture and modern design of their invitation suite! Texture is a key element to awesome detail photos, and her florist even left us some florals to incorporate! They got immediate points from us and we hadn’t even seen the gorgeous florals they were designing for the reception yet!!
We had picked out a specific location for Abbey & Jason’s first look, because the mountain views were simply TOO good to pass up! We knew the result would be epic and it was! You can look at these images and know why they’re called the “Blue Ridge mountains!” 😉 Then, we had an ample amount of time to wander the property and shoot portraits to our hearts content! In such a stunning location, we were hoping for a few extra minutes, and instead got two hours!! Don’t worry…we didn’t use ALL that time, but a roomy timeline is our BFF! To top off a generous timeline, they booked private transportation to get to those locations, which is the ticket to success on a wedding day with lots of logistics.
Abbey and Jason braved the crowds surrounding the Biltmore Estate and conveniently cleared out the swarms of people in a few scenic spots with their wedding day attire…the white dress and suit paid off! 😉 From architecture and staircases, to gardens and scenic overlooks, we had so much to work with and capture. It was a fun challenge and we’re so excited to share the results!!
At their reception, two head tables seated all their guests, and the cutest chandeliers you’ve ever seen were a perfect statement! And that checkered dance floor!! Which was packed the whole night, by the way! What a fun time photographing these two!
Abbey and Jason, thank you for trusting us to document your day in the most beautiful location!!
