Three days ago we shot our last Charleston wedding of the year!! Which is SO hard to believe! We’ve been blessed with some GORGEOUS days this fall and Saturday was one of them! From beautiful people, to beautiful weather, it was nothing short of amazing! We’re so excited to share Megan & Alex’s Society Hall wedding day with y’all!
Although Megan and Alex are currently Texas residents, Megan’s classic style goes flawlessly with the Charleston atmosphere! Megan’s love for blue runs as deep as ours, so you better believe the whole wedding day was cohesive to a wonderful color palette of blues! From the chinoiserie vases and candle sticks, the bridesmaids dresses, and Megan’s ADORABLE reception dress, we were in heaven! And we made sure to find some blue buildings in downtown for portraits!
Megan and Alex had only been to Charleston a handful of times prior to their wedding, but knew they wanted those iconic shots! We knew the church shot was a MUST, and when a horse and carriage strolled past a minute later, well, that was an essential shot too! As you’ll see in their photos, these two are naturally genuine and interactive! And we’ll admit, this makes our job way too easy 😉 The way Alex looked at Megan was priceless and her spunk kept everyone smiling!!
Alex’s reaction to his beautiful bride was PRICELESS and had everyone smiling behind their cameras!! And you bet he still had that same reaction as Megan walked down the aisle in the church a couple hours later. Which, by the way, had BLUE walls! It was perfect!!
After their ceremony at First Baptist Church of Charleston, we headed to Society Hall for their reception! Emerald Empire was the entertainment for the night and they made it a night to remember!! But, when do they not?? They lead the singing AND the dancing, with Megan as their sidekick. All the “first dances” commenced, and Megan’s dance with her father was done with a special tradition! Her dad wore a cowboy hat that he wore for his eldest daughter’s wedding when they had done a first dance. The cowboy hat made its rounds that night on the dance floor, as well as some bandanas (blue, of course) as a nod to their mid-west home.
And these two exited in a bicycle taxi to end the night!! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Brown!! We were honored to document your wedding day!
