On Saturday there were multiple times that we looked at each other and said, “We love weddings!! We love our job!” For us, every wedding day is a chance to create beautiful photos and document our couples’ day uniquely to them. Erin & Nolan’s day in particular was a joy to photograph! It was structured without being stressful and it was fun while still being meaningful.
And let us tell you about their wedding party!! Erin had THE best bridesmaids EVER! When we arrived to the Air BNB, they came running out to give us parking directions and make sure we knew where to go! They were ON IT the whole day!! We actually asked them if they would come with us to every wedding?? Hoping they accept the offer 😉
We had few extra chances to get creative with photos during the morning and stayed on time the rest of the afternoon. Mixing up the girls’ PJ photo from the usual was an idea that popped in my head and we love how it turned out! We also got to chat with Erin and grab some individual shots of her with her sister and mom getting ready. Erin and her mom cared about the backgrounds for the photos as much as we do and paid attention to where the windows were in their Air BNB for the good light! We love clients who are photo-oriented!
Erin and Nolan stayed focused on the moments that kept them grounded by sharing a private first look alone (and unphotographed!) and a congregational hymn during their ceremony. Wedding days seriously go by SO quickly so the fact that they set aside time in their day to focus on them and their relationship with Christ was incredibly special. At the end of their ceremony as they exited down the aisle, Nolan yelled, “WE’RE MARRIED!” And it had everyone smiling so big!!
Not only were their friends supportive and incredibly kind, but they kept the dance floor crowded!! We’ve never had a more energetic group on the dance floor! And with Emerald Empire with the entertainment, you know it was a party!!
