In January we had the opportunity to go to Charleston to photograph Julia & Ryan’s wedding! It was a long awaited weekend that we had been counting down to for almost an entire year! Traveling to shoot a wedding was on our bucket list and so was shooting a wedding in Charleston. We were VERY excited we were when we realized we would get to do both at once!

Mom brought a friend and we brought a friend, which made for a party! Our friend Caroline is always down for an adventure, especially if it involves going to Charleston. The wedding day would not have been the same without her! Having two people on a wedding day is great but having three is even better!

It was a whirlwind of a trip, since we drove down Thursday, shot the wedding Friday and drove back Saturday after a morning session in Hampton Park! Since we didn’t make it downtown, so we had to keep reminding ourselves we were actually in Charleston even though we didn’t get to see all the normal Charleston sights!

Thursday evening we went out to dinner, then Friday morning we got up early, had brunch, and went on a very short-lived walk on the beach. In my mind, Charleston in January would be 60 degrees and sunny but that was definitely not the case haha! Next up, it was wedding time! The wedding day started out the day at a beach house on Isle of Palms where the girls were getting ready, and then headed to the Creek Club for the ceremony. Saturday morning everyone was up early again, and we headed to Hampton Park to photograph Mallory & Brent! We had seen photos of Hampton Park and knew we wanted to shoot there because the Spanish moss looked amazing, but it was beyond our expectations! After that session, we all headed home, but y’all know we’re already planning our next trip back! Anyone who wants photos March 12th or 13th let us know because we will be back!!

Because it was such a quick trip and even though I took thousands of photos, the only personal pictures taken were Saturday morning. We still ended up with quite a few photos to say the least 🙂 Enjoy these favorites!
