This Beaufort Inn wedding styled shoot was full of bright colors and coastal scenes which made for the perfect Lowcountry shoot! It was just SO cool to see all the details for this shoot come together!! Laura & I had a trip to Beaufort planned for Lacey & Christian’s Engagement Session & after scheduling out the rest of the itinerary for our trip we realized we had some extra time during our visit. We have done small-scale styled shoots in the past and even though we only had two weeks to plan it, we thought it would so fun to put together a shoot at the Beaufort Inn. We’ve been dreaming of shooting at this venue for a while and they graciously let us visit their property and explore multiple venues for the afternoon.
The Beaufort Inn owns multiple properties and venues all within walking distance. If you’re getting married in Beaufort, you should definitely check out this venue! It has options for outdoor and indoor venues, stunning courtyards for your reception, and even adorable cottages for your bridal party to stay in that are on the property. For this shoot we shot at Tabby Place, Tabby Gardens, Old Bay Marketplace, & The Craven Courtyards. We ended the shoot at the Safe Harbor Marina in downtown which is a few blocks away and the perfect spot for sunset photos!
Once we had the venue in place, we started to look for a couple to model and Laura stumbled across Anna Lee & Andrew on Instagram. Once they let us know that they were available to model we were pumped because we knew things were coming together. Also, we got to see them again on Saturday for a couples shoot which you’ll be seeing more of on the blog next week!
We then reached out to Gaye with Tulips & Twigs and she was able to create the most STUNNING bouquet! We loved all the pops of bright florals. Madison with Hair & Makeup by Madison traveled all the way from Myrtle Beach to do Anna Lee’s hair and makeup and we are so thankful for her willingness to work with this on this shoot! She did an amazing job!
The final step was to find a suit and Jim’s Formal Wear totally came through on this one, because let’s be honest, we hadn’t even thought of this component until we were further into the planning process. They were able to coordinate shipping out a full suit and accessories with just a week’s notice which we were so grateful for.
You’re probably reading this thinking “that doesn’t sound like a small-scale shoot” and honestly we were thinking the same haha. But thanks to all these vendors and their willingness to pull together a last minute shoot we now all have stunning Lowcountry images and content to share with you!
