Elvia and Todd booked us for their Beaufort Inn wedding right after our trip to Beaufort last year and we have been looking forward to their day ever since!! We had been secretly hoping for another opportunity to shoot at the charming and coastal inn and their wedding plans got us SO excited! Elvia and Todd had been dreaming of a Lowcountry wedding and fell in love with Beaufort the first time they visited. We don’t blame them! During our first conversation with Elvia, she told us just how much they love Spanish moss and how they wanted to incorporate it into photos. We would agree on their love for that Lowcountry feature and would argue that Beaufort is the winner of Spanish moss! So we made a mental note to take these two to one of our favorite places in Beaufort for portraits!!
We started the day with details on the front porch of Elvia’s private cottage at the Beaufort Inn. It was as quaint as it sounds! A blue ceiling on the porch, Spanish moss blowing in the breeze, horse and carriage tours going by…it doesn’t get more Lowcountry than that!! Their invitations were so much fun to photograph. A modern twist on a classic invite always gets us excited! And not mention the fact that we’re currently LOVING the hot pink trends and their invitations fell into that category! Scroll down to see what we mean! Hint: it matches the Beaufort Inn PERFECTLY!! We had also been eyeing the blooming Jasmine as we walked the property earlier that morning, so we picked a few sprigs to add some contrast to the invitations and bring the details of the day together, because you’ll see further down that Elvia and Todd got married under a whole arch of jasmine!
Along with their unique invitations were some fashionable accessories to go along with Elvia’s modern dress. Her wedding dress had feathers on the sleeves and sparkles all over and we wouldn’t have expected anything else! She’s trendy and has an eye for style and her wedding day attire fit the vibe perfectly!!
After Elvia and Todd were dressed and ready for the day, they shared a first look on the porch of the Beaufort Inn. We took a few portraits around the inn before we hopped in the car and drove over to our favorite location in Beaufort for gorgeous Spanish moss photos. It was cloudy out at this point but those clouds definitely worked in our favor because you could see the moss so clearly in photos! Dreams came true for Lowcountry wedding portraits!!
Their ceremony took place in the Tabby Garden at the Beaufort Inn with their closest family and friends. Since it was a destination wedding, it was an intimate group of people to celebrate these two which we loved. Give us outdoor ceremonies all day, every day! Being able to sneak around to both sides and capture all the people and all the angles makes our hearts so happy! They finished off their day with dancing under the tent, a cake cutting just after sunset, and toasts from their loved ones!
Elvia and Todd, what an amazing day it was for you two!! You picked the perfect city to share with your family and friends and start this next stage of life! We’re so happy we got to be there with y’all!
