Agapae Oaks Wedding on St Helena Island, Beaufort, SC

Erica and Chris’ wedding at Agapae Oaks on St. Helena Island has been on our calendar since January of 2022, so to saw we’ve been looking forward to it for a while would be an understatement…we have been counting down the days for many months knowing that their day was going to be beautiful! We had the opportunity to meet Erica and Chris for their engagement session in Clemson, where they both went to college and had their first date! After their session we knew their day would be a good one because they are so sweet!!

Erica told us in one of her very first emails that she had a grandmillennial design in mind for the details of their day and we got SUPER excited because that is totally our vibe too! Her vision came to life on Saturday!! From the chinoiserie dishes, decoupage oyster shells, and ginger jars, to the bold colors in their invitation suite and flowers, it was everything we had envisioned it to be! The personalized design of their custom crest and the texture added from the sailcloth tent and checkered dance floor only complimented the modern, southern vibe. If you want to know what we could photograph alllll day long, it’s anything that falls into that category! 😉

Erica’s family has been vacationing in Beaufort for years, and when Chris came into the picture, he and Erica made many of their own trips to the coast as well! There was no question that Beaufort was the perfect location for their wedding because of its sentimental value but also because of how well it suited their vibe! Agapae Oaks is a spacious property, the perfect place for hosting all their friends and family the entire weekend.

One of their guests told Erica she “stepped straight out of the Southern Bride Magazine!” And we 100% agree! From her jacquard dress (that matched their cake, by the way! You won’t want to miss it below…it’s quite possibly our favorite cake ever!), her elegant updo, and statement earrings, Erica made a stunning bride!! To add to the modern feel, Chris wore a dark blue plaid suit was so unique and was the perfect pair with Erica’s dress!

Erica and Chris have a quiet, sweet love for each other and balance each other out perfectly. There’s a noticeable change in Erica’s smile when she’s with Chris, and Chris only smiles the biggest when he’s looking at Erica! We were honored to capture and witness one of the most special days of y’all’s life!!
