Last month we spent a weekend in Charleston! We got to experience some warm spring weather, met so many amazing people, and took SO many photos, so we figured that definitely called for a weekend recap!
Day 1: Evan is a wedding photographer as well and reached out to us months ago asking if we would come to Charleston to take her brand photos! We of course said yes and were able to plan multiple other shoots for the weekend! We made it to Charleston mid-afternoon and were able to explore downtown and pick out all our favorite spots for her session that evening!
Day 2: We started the morning by getting biscuits from Callie’s Hot Biscuit truck. We had been following on Instagram forever and new we wanted to try it! Then we went down to the Shem Creek marina to take some photos and walk around. It was warm, breezy, sunny, and amazing!! We attempted a beach trip to Isle of Palms after our morning in Mount Pleasant, but it was just a little too cold and windy for it to be enjoyable at the beach. That evening we had two other sessions – Bekah & Richard’s session in Old Village Mount Pleasant & Haley & Nick’s maternity session in Downtown Charleston ! We had never been to the Old Village area before but it was the perfect spot to get all the Charleston photos without the craziness of downtown! For Haley & Nick’s session we knew Haley shared our loved for all things blue, so we went to all the blue door spots on Tradd St. and then ended their session on The Battery!
Day 3: When we realized we were going to be in Charleston, we knew we wanted to plan a simple styled shoot at a Charleston venue! The story behind how Abbie & Aaron were the perfect fit for this shoot is SO cool! Head over to their blog post here to read all about it! After this early morning shoot at Legare Waring House, we were able to meet up with Alan’s family who was also in Charleston for the weekend! We had lunch, walked around downtown, and got ice cream at Off Track, which was seriously some of the best ice cream ever!
Now that you made it through the recap and iPhone photos from each day, here’s all the “real” photos of the trip!
