The Southern Wedding We're All Dreaming About
Hibernian Hall Wedding | Grace & Gregory

Grace and Gregory’s Hibernian Hall wedding was one we had been eagerly anticipating, and now that it’s come and gone, we can confidently say we’d relive and photograph it a hundred times over. The entire day radiated joy, laughter, and undeniable beauty. G&G are two of the smiliest, most joy-filled people you could ever meet, and their excitement to be celebrating their love was contagious. Unsurprisingly, they were surrounded by an incredible group of family and friends who brought nonstop energy and love throughout the entire weekend. The atmosphere was full of laughter, heartfelt moments, and unforgettable memories—we left genuinely wishing we could have spent even more time with everyone.

Their ceremony at First (Scots) Presbyterian Church in downtown Charleston was incredibly sweet—full of love, meaningful glances, and heartfelt moments. But the post-ceremony excitement? Absolutely next level. After saying “I do,” G&G led their wedding party and guests in a joyful processional down the historic streets to Hibernian Hall, with an incredible bagpiper setting the tone. It was such a vibrant, celebratory moment—definitely a highlight of the day. The energy was electric, and you could feel the love and excitement radiating from every single person.

The reception, designed by Monique and the amazing team at YOJ Events, was an absolute showstopper. Every detail was beautifully curated, making the space for this Hibernian Hall wedding not only incredibly photogenic but also so fun to be in. It was the perfect backdrop for a night full of dancing, celebration, and connection.

What we love about these two photos below is that they were taken just minutes apart—something we didn’t even realize until we were reviewing images from our assistant, who had spent the morning with the guys. How fun is it that these getting-ready moments were happening simultaneously, just in different parts of the city? It’s such a cool glimpse into the parallel preparation of both parties as the day began!

Like we said, these ladies were an absolute BLAST. Can we hire them out to be on the bridesmaid squad every weekend? Because we totally would!

Grace’s first look with her father and brothers was truly priceless—and this sweet moment of her mom watching from the side is one that will live in our memories forever.

We had just 10 minutes for portraits with Grace and Gregory—and  the evening glow decided to show up and show out at exactly the right time. The light was golden, soft, and magical on Chalmers Street! While we easily could have spent the entire evening photographing these two, what we captured in those few minutes is pure magic and makes our hearts so full. Sometimes, all it takes is a little window of time and the right kind of light to create something truly special.

Thoughtfully customized design elements were woven throughout the entire evening, creating a beautifully cohesive and personal celebration. From the monogrammed service napkins to the custom-printed bar and personalized linen cocktail napkins, every detail reflected Grace and Gregory’s unique style. Even their stunning cake featured their custom monogram, making a subtle yet sophisticated statement. We absolutely loved how these touches brought a sense of unity and personality to the day.

Grace’s brother delivered their father’s speech on his behalf, as their father wasn’t sure he could make it through a speech to his youngest daughter. When her brother began to tear up while sharing those heartfelt words, there wasn’t a dry eye in the already emotional crowd.

As if the day couldn’t get any more magical, we were treated to one of the most breathtaking sunsets we’ve ever seen in downtown Charleston. The sky lit up in vibrant shades of pink, casting a dreamy glow over the whole city and perfectly reflecting the joy and beauty of the day.
