A few weeks before Emma & Blaine’s session, we were in Lake Lure and the leaves and views were breathtaking! We hadn’t been up there in years and had forgotten how pretty it is! It really isn’t far from Spartanburg either!! We knew Emma wanted mountain views and we were so excited when they agreed to meet up in Lake Lure for their engagement session!
After talking with them we realized a couple of things… we met up in Lake Lure for the mountain views but turns out we all live basically within minutes from each other haha! But it was totally worth the short drive for the views!! And secondly, they were both at Mallory and Chris’ wedding last year and Blaine was a groomsman!
We started their session at Morse Park in Lake Lure and then drove to a spot along the river to end it! We brought Alan along for this session which means we had a bunch of behind the scenes to share! It’s saved in our Instagram BTS highlight and will be making an appearance on the 2020 BTS blog post as well 🙂
We had a blast with Emma and Blaine exploring new spots! A change of scenery is always good for the photographer’s heart hahaha!! They also put up with all our crazy ideas which included throwing leaves up in the air (only took a couple of tries to perfect that 😉 ) standing on the edge of the river, and sitting on the end of a dock.
Now we can get excited about next fall with these two!!
