A late summer evening Downtown provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic Charleston engagement session with Grace and Jonathan, every moment of our time with them reflecting their timeless elegance and deep connection. We had a gorgeous golden glow shining through the crepe myrtle trees—our favorite summer sight in the Lowcountry—and the sun continued to shine down as we made our way to the beach, where Grace and Jonathan’s energetic spirits came alive alongside their adorable puppy, Bruin. We admired their stylish outfits, dressed up and casual. Grace’s white appliqué dress paired perfectly with her blue Anthropologie shoes, and Jonathan’s sharp navy suit was complemented by his classic seersucker shirt.
We spent the evening exploring all our favorite spots in the city with Grace and Jonathan, chatting about the exciting plans for their William Aiken House wedding next year with Chauncey at Bouquets & Bowties and the beautiful vision they have for their celebration. We know it will be everything classy and elegant in the heart of Downtown!
With Grace’s roots in Boston and Jonathan’s in Tuscaloosa, they were looking for a central location to bring together family and friends from all over to celebrate their marriage. Grace had always dreamed of a coastal wedding, inspired by her love for the Massachusetts shoreline, and with their home now in Atlanta, Charleston felt like the perfect choice. The city offers the ideal blend of coastal charm and Southern hospitality—making it the perfect place to unite their two worlds and begin their next chapter.
