Lake Keowee Wedding with a Tented Reception at The Reserve

This Lake Keowee wedding at the Reserve will forever be a favorite! From a colorful design brought to life by Social Event Design to an epic surprise from the mother of bride, it was a day that was simultaneously exciting and sweet to document.

Prior to the ceremony, we headed down to the lawn at the Reserve for Caroline to get a peek at how the tent design was coming along. Caroline’s jaw dropped when she saw the sailcloth tent, a complete surprise, transformed into a garden party wonderland of 5,000 flowers by Urban Petal s. Although Caroline planned for a tented Lake Keowee wedding, her parents surprised her with this beautiful upgrade, and Jessica noted that she had created two tent-mock ups the whole time – one for the bride and another secret one for her parents! With this being the second wedding that Urban Petals had crafted for the Willcox family, it made it even more special to have them floral the tent!

There was no shortage of tender moments throughout the day, from sweet exchanges with her two sisters and parents (an incredibly special bond between the 5!) to the flower girls fully embracing the dance floor. Caroline looked radiant in her Anne Barge gown, its delicate appliqué capturing the garden-party vibe of the celebration, while her veil carried a touch of family history with floral pieces from her mother’s own dress.

Caroline and Will’s choreographed dance was a highlight of the evening, and set the stage for a dance floor full of guests!
