Our first visit to Hawaii was everything we had dreamed of and honestly, a million times more. We could summarize it ourselves and say it was unreal, but I guess that means you’ll have to truly experience it yourself. We knew it was going to be incredible, but I don’t think we comprehended all the ways we’d fall in love with it, and now we’re begging for an Oahu wedding.
Leaving cold South Carolina and arriving in the most lush, sunny, warm place did our winter-weary hearts so much good. It snowed the day we arrived back in South Carolina, and we’ve been looking at flights back ever since, HA! Because truly, how could you possibly beat blue skies and bluer waters, sandy beach days and snorkeling in January, banana bread sold from the cutest shop ever (yes, they ship to the mainland and yes I’m ordering some right now), more palm trees than you’ve ever laid eyes on, and a tan in the middle of winter? You can’t. It’s impossible! With daily trips to Ted’s Bakery for omelet breakfasts and homemade desserts, sunset picnics on the beach, double rainbows over the ocean, and the most gorgeous mountain views contrasting the ocean, we were one thousand percent content.
