If you haven’t experienced a Maine summer, it deserves a top spot on your bucket list. A destination wedding in Maine had been at the top of ours for some time, and it did not disappoint. Sunshine dancing along a rocky coastline, the bluest water paired with a salty ocean breeze, and hydrangeas bursting into bloom. It’s the way life should be, right? Jess and Coleman took full advantage of an unforgettable July weekend in Coleman’s hometown, celebrating their marriage with a wedding weekend alongside their closest friends and family on Peaks Island.
Peaks Island itself is full of personality: golf carts and bicycles zipping by, a dramatic coastline, eclectic shops, and a sense of seclusion from the city’s hum. Quaint yet full of energy- just what these two needed for their intimate weekend full of fun.
While we gallivanted around the island by golf cart with the bride and groom for a few pre-ceremony portraits, their guests enjoyed a harbor cruise on the way to Peaks Island. The ferry offered guests a glimpse of several iconic lighthouses, giving them a taste of Maine’s charm and the chance to soak in the beauty of the coast before the celebrations began. A must for this destination wedding in Maine! Upon arrival at the island port, guests made their way to the Inn, ready for the evening ahead. There was no shortage of laughs, lobster rolls, or good times to follow!
