Last year we decided it would be fun to try snowboarding, as we’d already been skiing a few times. Let’s just say that the first time was a little rough, but for those wondering, the second time seems to be the charm! This round was much improved and I spent more time going down the mountain than sprawled out in the snow, which was the opposite of the last time haha!

The South definitely isn’t ideal for snow sports, but when we saw snow forecasted we planned for the upcoming weekend and hoped for the best! They ended up getting snow while we where there and there was fresh powder as well, so it was a win win! The only downside was the fact that there was intense fog, so you had to just hope you could see everyone as you came flying down the mountain haha!

This time we went to Beech Mountain, which is near Banner Elk, NC. It is almost 3 hours from Greenville which is quite a trip for one day, but we made it happen! For those wondering, we got there about 30 mins after they opened and there were no lines for the snowboard rental! The skis were a bit busier, but still not bad!

Overall, it was a super fun day spent with friends on the slopes!! We’re dying to go back again before the season ends, but we’ll see!

P.S. There are ALL iPhone photos!! This is proof that you can still capture some amazing photos without lugging the fancy camera up the mountain 😉 That definitely wouldn’t have ended well lol! Shout out to the iPhone 11 and Lightroom for this documentation!
