Clemson is a special place for Anna & Ben, so it was just fitting that we plan their engagement session at this location! Their story started on campus and even though they don’t live in the area anymore, Anna mentioned they would love to do photos there and we were totally onboard with that idea!
Their session day turned out to be rainy and dreary, but for many different reasons rescheduling wasn’t an option. We all agreed we would go ahead with the session and capture what we could, despite the weather. The rain let up after the first 30 minutes which as such a blessing and allowed us to take some iconic photos in front of Tillman Hall. However, when we were scouting out covered locations before the session, we came across a gazebo and decided it would be the perfect spot for some photos. Ironically, we learned after talking during their session that Ben actually proposed right out front of the gazebo! After this realization, we decided that photos definitely needed to happen at the gazebo. It was fun to see the vision we had for the photos at this spot come to life — and with an entirely new meaning as well since it was a special spot for Anna & Ben!
A couple other favorite elements of their session…First all, the blooms! We purposely chose this date because for one, it was spring break so campus was much less crowded and two, because we were hopeful there would be some pretty trees still in bloom. And there were! Anna’s outfit choices were also flawless. We are currently loving brighter colors and the yellow dress (with a bow, no less!) was a great pop of color for the dreary day. Of course in our minds you can never go wrong with some blue incorporated as well, so we were very excited to see that Anna’s second dress was our favorite color!
